Reading and purchase terms

Public-domain original editions are freely accessible and credited. Paid editions are individually marked and fulfilled after confirmed payment. Physical editions depend on entered inventory, shipping arrangements and applicable taxes. Member access is conditional on an active entitlement.

Books should travel

We trust readers and ask for trust in return. We welcome lending physical books and reasonable personal sharing where an edition’s licence permits it. Please do not upload protected books for mass redistribution or commercial resale. We do not impose restrictive DRM on our ordinary permanent purchases; a pseudonymous purchase marker may be embedded in protected EPUBs. Public-domain texts remain free to redistribute.

Trust works both ways. Where serious abuse is established, Katiopa may investigate and apply proportionate safeguards under published terms, with notice and a right to appeal. New restrictions apply to future offers; previously acquired DRM-free files are not retroactively locked.

Eligible print bundles include an ebook immediately after confirmed payment. Nkanda subscriptions permit unlimited reading of rightsholder-approved books, not permanent unrestricted file downloads. Student discounts require verification. We will publish information about copyright, refunds and consumer rights prior to accepting orders.

Merchant identity, mandatory consumer information, legal notices, privacy details, VAT, shipping costs and withdrawal information must be configured for the actual operating business before accepting real orders.
